Art Scene, Greer SC, Part of MAC Open Studios Weekend

Get ready to hear about Greer’s best kept secret: The Center for the Arts. She’s a gem, which is clear to be seen even from the outside- with the scenic park, playground, amphitheater, and walking paths. The location, a convenient one-mile hop from the downtown Greer area, makes a quick trip enticing, and even better is that there’s almost always plenty of close parking.

I draw your attention to this location though, not because of the outside, but to invite you to come over for an event happening inside the building during the second weekend in November. There is always something fun happening inside- performances of all kinds, fresh art exhibits, and art classes on the regular. This event will be of particular interest to those who enjoy traipsing around for Greenville’s Open Studios event, because this year, 4 resident artists in the Center for the Arts will be participating in hosting the public for an art appreciation experience. Not only is there a new gallery up featuring these artists, but you will also be able to see live demonstrations of their work. Come out and ask questions and hear about their stories and processes.
