I draw your attention to this location though, not because of the outside, but to invite you to come over for an event happening inside the building during the second weekend in November. There is always something fun happening inside- performances of all kinds, fresh art exhibits, and art classes on the regular. This event will be of particular interest to those who enjoy traipsing around for Greenville’s Open Studios event, because this year, 4 resident artists in the Center for the Arts will be participating in hosting the public for an art appreciation experience.

There are so many fun things to do at this playground, but a clear favorite is the whimsical fairy tale tower. It really looks straight out of the story books, and is complete with ivy to climb, a spiral stair case, and even a dragon! I love this, because it sets kids’ imaginations on fire! I always think of these few quotes about fairy tales and dragons, and try to encourage a fearless bravery with my boys. We talk about doing hard things even when we’re scared and nervous, and having images in our heads that inspire us is so important!
